Discover the Saratoga Springs Splash Days Parade: A Family Fun Event in Utah

Saratoga Springs hosts its annual Splash Days every year, typically during the first week of June. For the latest information, visit the Saratoga Springs City website. 

This year’s parade was an exciting event that started at 10:00 AM. We arrived at 9:15 to secure a good spot. While seating was plentiful, arriving early ensures a prime spot, especially if you want to be near the beginning of the parade route. The parade lasted about two hours, featuring over 80 groups along a mile-long route.

Highlights of the Saratoga Springs Splash Days Parade

The parade was a fantastic experience for our family. Chick-fil-A handed out free meal tickets, and local groups, like Westlake High School, threw candy. Our son Trey loved the fire trucks and the Utah Raptors floats, while Quincy enjoyed the music, dancers, and, of course, the candy.

Tips for Enjoying the Saratoga Springs Parade

1. Sit at the Beginning of the Route: We found that the energy was higher at the start of the parade. Sitting towards the end meant we saw more tired participants and fewer candies thrown.
2. Plan for Traffic: The roads reopen after the parade, leading to significant traffic. Expect to stay for a bit longer to avoid the rush.
3. Bring Snacks and Drinks: We recommend bringing a cooler with snacks and drinks. Our kids’ energy waned after the first hour, and having extra refreshments would have been helpful.
